Les Gamins Fées



This illustration served as the cover for the short story collection *Les Gamins Fées* by Sarah Ghoula (author of the novel *Nos Silences sont immenses*, which has been awarded several prizes). 
   The recurring themes in the stories, such as being swept away by a force stronger than oneself, against which it is impossible to fight, as well as the darkness of the world that consumes the innocence of so many children, inspired me to create a double image of a vortex/black hole. The starry sky, symbolizing hope, is reflected in the water, and the stars are drawn in, like the child’s mask, symbolizing the lost joy of childhood innocence swept away despite their will.
