The alphabet and its system are powerful factors of cultural identity.
However, the diversity of alphabetic systems is increasingly being overshadowed by the normalization of the Latin alphabet, especially since the advent of computing. Whether the Latinization is done for political or globalization purposes, it leads to a retreat of identity and endangers the plurality of cultural values.
Therefore, I would like to propose an alternative reading experience. Using the Latin alphabet as raw material, I intend to deconstruct it and enrich it with other marginalized alphabets. I alter its "formula" by gradually introducing the features of other alphabets, which intertwine, complement, and coexist in a visual cacophony that evokes several languages being spoken simultaneously. This act of hybridizing alphabetic systems takes place within the context of Abdelkebir Khatibi's novel *Amour bilingue*, thus illustrating the concept of interculturality and, by extension, tolerance.

Later in the process, a more experimental visual aspect was added, with visual games in the form of cards and posters that no longer prioritized readability, but instead focused solely on creating visual poetry. These compositions allowed for the exploration of form and symbolism, experimenting with the tension between legibility and abstraction. The goal was to evoke emotions and thoughts through the interplay of shapes, textures, and compositions, embracing a more free and artistic approach to communication, rather than the conventional constraints of language and readability.

This project and its approach have been very close to my heart, and the project consists of several editorial objects: the novel, a 'user guide' describing each hybridization and explaining each alphabetic system, as well as a brochure providing my references on the project and my journey.
